We compete in meets against swim teams from Cobb, Douglasville and other surrounding counties. We will compete in local meets, Georgia State Games and District and State competitions again this year! Practices will increase as we prepare for meets.

The team is open to children 5-18 years old that can swim 25 yards on top of the water with their head down and 25 yards on their back. Please call and set up a time for me to evaluate your child if you are unsure. Your child does not need to know all the strokes – they will be taught. We will develop and build endurance in freestyle, back stroke, breast stroke, and butterfly.

Swim teams encourage individual growth, teamwork, discipline, and personal responsibility. Our team encourages all participants to set personal goals and achieve them. I feel a child working hard to achieve their own best times is not comparing themselves to each other.

With that said we have a very strong young team with several participants who went to and won District 5 competition, then continued on to win at State. Come on out and join the fun with our team!!

Most meets are held on Saturday mornings and afternoons. There are a few Friday night meets. We will have our first meet around the first of February and then will continue to have a light meet schedule in March and April. Most of the meets are held in May, June, and July. July is district and state meets. Get an early start with practice! Some meets even have parent’s swim events.

The cost of our swim team is:

$200 for the season if you join our team before or in March 2010. This may be broken up into 2 monthly payments.

$225 per season if you join our team in April or May. This may be broken up into 2 monthly payments.

$150 if you join our team in June – must already know stokes to join our team in June.

This cost covers practice from January to the end of June.

The cost for July swim team is $50.

 Additional costs will include meet registration – usually around $3-5 per event, swim suit, swim cap, and goggles.
