Day Camp

Rountree Recreation is offering a great place for school-aged children to spend time when school is out for the day, week, or the summer. Children will have adequate supervision while participating in activities such as crafts, swimming, playing on our obstacle course, games, pony rides, and sports.

Campers will participate in a water safety course on Monday.

This year our camp format will be a bit different. Campers will participate in “stations” such as arts and crafts, sports, horsemanship, etc. Campers will participate in the stations with campers of similar ages.

Space is limited so preregistration is suggested.

Camp is open for children 5 - 14 years old. Children are divided into groups according to age so everyone can have fun!

Drop off begins at 7:15am and activities begin at 9:00 am. Structured activities finish at 4:00 pm and all students need to be picked up by 6:30 p.m. (If you need to drop off earlier or pick up later please call to pre-arrange)

Campers need to bring their lunch, swimsuit, towel, play cloths and shoes, water, a good attitude! We require all children to wear closed toe tennis shoes, no sandals or flip flops. This is for your child’s safety.

Campers should not bring game boys, cell phones, or other electronic games. Campers will have plenty to do!

The cost of our day camp is $125 per week.

Please note – your spot is not reserved until payment is made. This amount is non-refundable and transferable only with at least 2 weeks notice.

Discounts available for multiple weeks (during the summer) or families with 3 or more children.

Drop in rate is $50 per child for 1 day or $75 per child for 2 days.

We offer swimming lessons in conjunction with camp (depending on the season and availability). Swimming lessons cost $30 per week of camp. Children will receive 4 lessons.

We offer an optional horse camp portion of our day camp. The horse camp is an additional $100 per week. The horse campers will participate in riding lessons, horsemanship lessons, horse care and more! These activities will take place from 9:00-12:00. After 12:00 horse campers will eat lunch, swim, and participate in afternoon activities with the regular day camp. Please check the horse camp tab for more information.

Note to parents: Children typically come home tired from our day’s activities.
